Hands-on training in Palpation-Based Acupuncture

It is with great pleasure that I can announce the opening of a hands-on Palpation-Based Acupuncture training center in McLean, VA.
We have room for courses that will concentrate on supervised palpation and treatment strategies reducing the painful reflection sites as well as areas that are spontaneously painful.
These hands-on training modules will concentrate on constitutional treatments (Why is the patient not healing), Structural imbalances and scars, Internal organ imbalances (including cardiology and hormonal problems) as well as supporting patients with cancer (a new module).
Courses will be on a Saturday from 09:00am to 5:00pm. We open every session with a minimum of 10 practitioners and limit it to 12 practitioners to maximize individual supervision and quality of instruction.
Each module is planned to become a CEU credit course (application pending for 7 CEU's per session).

Hands-on training in Palpation-Based Acupuncture - 1
The first Session:
This hands-on workshop will convert the theoretical and visual learning from classroom to an actual manual and practical skill.
Differential diagnosis through palpation will concentrate on constitutional imbalances such as: the liver, Oketsu, immune reflections, adrenal gland, stomach, duodenum and ileo-cecal valve, as well as sympathetic / parasympathetic imbalance. After the differential diagnosis, students will practice how to reduce the pressure pain found on the various reflection zones. Here, needle depth, angle and individual location of acupuncture points will be found and the immediate effect palpated.
Goals and objectives
1. Differential diagnosis and treatment plan based upon palpatory findings on a patient.
2. Locate treatment points (including angle and precise location) for various constitutional imbalances.
3. Reduce reflection areas using body points in combination with micro-systems
4. Locate YNSA points relevant to the palpatory findings on the patient’s body.
5. Locate auricular points relevant to the palpatory findings on the patient’s body.
Agenda:
09:00 – 10:00 Palpation as a diagnostic tool, palpation as an evaluation tool, and palpation as a healing tool. Lecture with clinical demonstration.
10:00 - 11:00 Palpating the reflection zones for the liver and Oketsu, Immune, differential diagnosis for the various adrenal gland exhaustion signs, Sympathetic/parasympathetic nervous system imbalance, Shen disorders and presenting the acupuncture points that treat them. Lecture with clinical demonstration.
11:00 – 12:00 Guided practice of Oketsu, Immune and Adrenal. Hands-on practice.
12:00 – 13:00 Guided practice of sympathetic/parasympathetic imbalance including CV15 pain. Hands-on practice.
13:00 – 14:00 Lunch
14:00 – 15:00 Palpation of the back demonstration of 4 corners, I-Hi-Kon, Zhong Qi leaking, TMJ, Sacroiliac, Lumbar eye treatment, and cardiovascular points. Hands-on practice.
15:00 – 16:00 Guided practice of reflection zones at the back and their treatments. Hands-on practice.
16:00 – 17:00 Discussion on palpation and treatment strategy with case histories
